The Human Sciences Group brings together experts from the fields of ergonomics, physiology, biomechanics and occupational psychology. We provide a multidisciplinary approach to human centred problems at work which can reap benefits for both the organisation and its individuals by improving organisational efficiency, productivity and morale, and reducing work related injuries, absenteeism and turnover.
Much of our current work is geared towards helping employers to comply with current legislation such as Manual Handling Operations Legislation (1992) and the Display Screen Equipment Regulations (1992). our areas of expertise include: upper limb disorders; manual handling; stress; display screen equipment; workplace design; product and equipment design; environmental conditions; PPE.
